Yes it is a technology savvy world that we live in nowadays and there is no way that you could get around without having to mess around with some video and audio. Whether it is for a presentation or even for entertainment sake and whether you are the one creating it or are the one downloading it, having to deal with video and audio file formats is what you have to do, without perhaps even knowing it. All is well till the question of what File to use where or the dreaded “Why isn’t my File playing?” question arises. This is when you need to start looking around for some real answers and solve the real problem.

So if any question arises based on an MOV File, Apple or rather the company Apple Inc. will have the answer for that. If the problem is connected to a video file that is not playing and is a MOV File in all probability you do not have the QuickTime Media player installed on your computer. If that is also a bolt out of the blue then you need further clarifications.

In all probability, when you got your computer installed and instructed them to fill your computer in with all the most necessary software, they probably did. But the fact is that technology is quick and you need to catch up. This would be the very reason why your Media real player would not be able to play all the video files that you download from the internet or record on your camcorder. So what you need now is a Quick Time player. A Quick Time Player is the multimedia player that is devised by Apple Inc. which plays different videos, music, animations and other digital media if required. The catch is that those files that are MOV are compatible only with the QuickTime Player and thus would not be able to play without it; unfortunately for you perhaps there are many websites and also recent gadgets such as some video recorders that find the MOV File very useful in quality as well as storage capacity and thus you might have to encounter such files quite often. Huge advice, get yourself a QuickTime Player soon.

So if you have Microsoft or MAC OS X, these would easily be able to work with a QuickTime player and make the MOV file compatible. Even other Apple Inc devices such as the Apple iPod are also compatible with the MOV files and thus are kinds of Quick Time Players themselves.

SO if you do not already have a QuickTime Player it would be the best idea for you to just download the software for free on your computer. The latest QuickTime Players have brilliant video streaming features as well that make video viewing even simpler from the internet. Not only this, but there are several other file formats that can be viewed on the QuickTime Player and not only the Apple MOV.
